Where Do I Start?

When you log in to Magoosh the first page you see is your dashboard.

This page includes your practice history, some suggested lesson videos, and links to everything in Magoosh TOEFL.

If you want even more structure for your studies, try our one-month study schedule! That will guide you through both Magoosh material and the official guide.

Where Are the Lesson Videos?

Just click the “Lessons” tab at the top of the page, and you're there!

That will bring you to a list of lessons, which you can watch according to what you need most.

Where Are the Questions?

On your dashboard, you can see four green buttons to start practicing immediately. Just choose the section of the test and your practice will start!

There are 12 reading passage (totaling 168 questions), 24 listening exercises (totaling 136 questions), 24 speaking tasks, and 10 essay prompts. And every single question has a video explanation, a text explanation, and a sample answer or script, when possible.

You can also start a custom practice session by clicking the “practice” tab at the top of the page:

There, you can choose not only the section of the test you want to practice, but also what type of question! For example, if you want to answer an example of speaking task #3, you can change the section to “Speaking” and click “Task 3” as the subject.

You can also select the amount of time you’d like to practice for and which questions you’d like to answer.
