In many ways quite frankly. I just to note that I have previous experience taking the TOEFL. Additionally, my writing improved significantly from writing my master's thesis. Magoosh videos and practice tests helped me remember the test structure and format. They turned out to be very useful in a sense that you get to choose the videos or set of questions that would improve your specific weak areas. For example, my weakest ability was the reading section, and this is probably related to my educational background where our school materials and tasks do not focus on developing a student's reading skills. Did I mention how useful the practice tests offered here! They are not only similar to the actual test, but also Internet based (IBT) which is way better compared to practicing from a book. With Magoosh you get to experience the same test atmosphere. In summary, I only used Magoosh courses for three days (8 hours of study each), and improved my score +9.
