I watched all the Magoosh TOEFL videos on youtube. I wanted to upgrade to premium membership but due to some family circumstances I coudn't do that. But that didn't stop me from getting valuable tips from Lucas(as the youtube videos were free!!) And I felt that was the most generous deed by Magoosh and ofcourse Lucas for making the videos so very helpful!! I believe each and every little tip he gave,the vocabulary words he shared, his speaking samples and all of it actually are invaluable!! Moreover, I feel I was lucky enough to get most of the vocabulary word questions from the words which Lucas has made videos on!! Whilst I was answering my reading section, I could actually think of Lucas saying those words in the vocabulary questions I was asked to answer and explaining them in his videos! Also, the writing section tips he gave were life savers! Believe me, I am not exaggerating when I say that I believe without Lucas's videos I wouldn't have crossed even a 20 on the writing section! In saying so, I would also like to add that a 29 on listening and 26 on speaking are all because of Lucas's videos!! I am really grateful to him for putting his time and efforts in making such invaluable videos and helping students out there just like me!! Thank you Lucas and the whole Magoosh team too! |

The coolest thing I love in Magoosh is its video lessons, which are recorded by energetic experts like Lucas and Chris. And they are all native speakers, which means I every time I listened to the lessons, I was also practicing my listening skills! The strategies for TOEFL and tips for improving general English skills given by Lucas in each videos are really useful to me. Besides that, Practice questions in listening section are harder than actual TOEFL written by ETS, for the lasting time of each lecture and conversation is longer in Magoosh questions. After practicing these more difficult questions, I feel more comfortable when dealing with real listening section in TOEFL. Last but not least, Strategy for taking notes is excellent! I really love it. |

Magoosh practice questions were a good resource however the speaking section could be improved by providing a basic structure of sentences that could be used by students during exams so that they can better prepare their notes while speaking, in particular I found this very useful in an online resource called notefull.com where they provide the basic structure and we get to fill in the information needed before we start speaking. |
