Practice materials were really nice and covered all the possible topics. With more and more practice, I was able to filter out the important from not so important ones while taking down notes. READING: i learned how to handle unknown and uncomfortable topics, manage time and extract ideas from passages correctly very fast. LISTENING: Taking notes while listening, distinguish between important and unnecessary information, answer those indirect"implication" type questions where the answer isn't directly given in the conversation...like "what did the professor mean when he say....?". SPEAKING: how to take very short notes, speaking by following templates, keeping track of time while speaking without losing the flow etc. The app that records voice and plays back did help me talk loud and clear, that i struggled to do earlier. WRITING: the videos did help. mostly for the 1st writing task. learned how to relate topics of the passage to the lecture and then write them in a structured way without missing any significant information. |
