Magoosh helped me get a proper understanding of the TOEFL. The lessons and video explanations for every question helped me understand my mistakes. At first I didn't know what to expect from Magoosh and was a bit hesitant to purchase a study plan. Because it was very cheap, I decided to take a chance and good thing I did! it turned out that Magoosh was what I needed to significantly improve my score! One way that Magoosh helped me was by keeping me on track with studying. The one month study plan was dense and required a couple of hours of work per day, but it included a variety of exercises. In other words, having at least two sections to work on in a day was really important. I especially liked the usage of both official ETS book and Magoosh materials. Another thing I found very useful were the resources and lessons. I was working on the vocabulary cards and it was a wonderful idea! Besides, Magoosh's exercises were a pretty close match to the real TOEFL test, and learnt strategies helped me tremendously during the test. The reading section in particular was something I wanted to work on and improve and I was able to get a result that I needed. In general, Magoosh was a very positive surprise because it was cheap and offered valuable strategies and materials that helped me improve my TOEFL score. |

Magoosh really helped preparing efficiently for the TOEFL. I had around two weeks of preparation time and, with the help of the resources Magoosh provided, I was able to learn quicker and more efficiently than I could have done otherwise. Especially for the writing and speaking section, the way the video lectures provide tips and tricks is excellent and very effective. Without those videos I would not be able to score as high as I did now. The latter does not mean that Magoosh wasn't helpful for the other sections. The reading and listening practice questions are of the same level of difficulty as on the real TOEFL. I would like to thank Magoosh for such an excellent platform. The next challenge is taking the GMAT, however, I believe that it will be a lot easier with Magoosh! |

As a first-time IBT test taker, I find Magoosh is very helpful in equipping the students to ace the TOEFL. Magoosh's video lessons are easy to understand. Magoosh also provides detailed explanations on how to answer the practice question in a most efficient way. I personally think that the practice questions provided in Magoosh are more difficult than the actual tests. My target score was 100. Magoosh helped me to better understand how the TOEFL test was organized, and more important, showed me different strategies to tackle each part of the test. Lucas videos lessons about each part of the test were very helpful, detailed, and well explained. He provides good examples that give test takers a good idea about what they are going to find in the real test. Grammar videos are also a good source of information about English language structure. Although I couldn't use the Practice Test section as much as I would have liked to do it, its difficulty level was close enough to the real test level. Finally, I also recommend the speaking and writing templates because you can learn useful phrases, expressions, and words to better develop and connect your ideas. |
