I feel my case is very unusual. I learned that I have to take TOEFL just three days before the test. I knew nothing about TOEFL and had just two (mostly) free days to prepare. I didn't have time to try many tools, so I quickly decided to use Mangoosh exclusively. I spent the first day watching the videos from the "Lessons" tab, which helped me understand what the test is about and also to get to know its structure (although I had to watch them on 3.5x speedup to finish them in time). I used the second day to practice - I did the practice test and also a ton of practice exercises. I needed the score of 100 of more on my test and at the end got 108 points, so I'm very happy with the result. Obviously, my English was good enough already, but I wouldn't be able to get a satisfactory score without learning about TOEFL on Mangoosh and without using it to practise. |

A lot, Just before learning with magoosh, my listening skills were at most 19. I just worked with magoosh for 2 weeks and mostly on my listening skills, and they improved unbelievably. While the listening part of TOEFL was hard, I could gain 27! I'm pretty sure If I had more time and could work on other skills as well, I would have gained better scores in all those 3 skills as well. |

Wow, Magoosh really helped me with sections that needed a lot more preparation than I initially thought. These were undoubtedly the reading and listening sections. The explanations given were beautiful and helped me understand WHY my answer was wrong before and what to look out for. It teaches you technique. If you kind of space out during reading and listening like me, Magoosh is totally the way to go. The prep test is exactly what you need to get you the right amount of confidence so your performance on the test day is optimum. Also, please do not waste time looking for free tests online because they'll get you nowhere and they're not well constructed.
